The Paper series uses the nuanced paper from the paper company Takeo for their covers.
This Weeks uses Takeo’s “Tanto Kira” paper. Its charm lies in a subtle, pearl-like sheen and a translucent, pale green hue.
The texture is smooth to the touch, and the year 2027 is foil-pressed in gold.
It has the soft luster of jade, yet carries a calm, refined elegance. This is a Weeks that leaves you feeling poised every time you use it.
The Hobonichi Techo Weeks comes with a clear, adhesive corner pocket you can stick anywhere you like.
The pages are made of thin and light yet durable Tomoe River paper that holds ink well, providing a smooth writing experience.
In addition to the monthly calendars and weekly pages, there are also plenty of grid-lined memo pages.
The back of the book contains bonus pages. Both the Japanese and English editions feature standard favorites like My 100 and the 365 Days Check-Off Sheet, as well as new additions like Phrases to Break That Writer’s Block and the Hobonichi’s Neighborhood: Kanda/Jinbo-cho Map, among others.

- Because the paper is so smooth, ink will take longer to dry and may be more prone to smearing on Tomoe River paper than it is on typical notebook or copy paper.
- The cover material is made with paper and is delicate. Please avoid getting the material wet. If you’re concerned about friction against the material, we recommend using a Clear Cover. Alternatively, we recommend storing it in a pouch or case when taking it out with you.
- You may notice press marks, slight whitening, or a glossy finish on the corners of the front and back covers. These are unavoidable results of the binding process.
- Color may transfer to other items through friction or prolonged contact. This risk increases when the cover is exposed to water or sweat, so please take extra care when carrying it near clothing or other belongings.
